Lalkuthi Home is exclusively for girls. At present there are 36 girls and 4 of them are physically challenged. All children are studying in outside government schools. In primary section (classes I to IV) there are 13 students. They go to "Dakshin Shishu Shiksha Niketan School" (Bengali medium). In secondary section, there are 23 sudents. Among them 15 students go "Ramakrishnapur Balika Vidyalaya school" and 4 of them will appear for Madhyamik exam (at the end of class X) in march 2025. Finally, 8 students go to "Chirantani Vidyapiet school for girls".
This Home has been recently renovated in the year 2022-2023. The ground floor contains a spacious kitchen and the office. The first floor is occuped by girls of Secondary Section and the second floor is for Primary Section. There is also a terrace and a rooftop covered with false grass carpet where they can playing. Apart from the studies, the girls also learn extra curricular activities like singing, dancing, drawing. They also take part in competitions with other schools.
