Our mission
Our Values

Promoting Human Dignity:
“Everyone is a child of God”
We acknowledge the human dignity of every person irrespective of caste, creed or social status. We seek to help the poorest and the handicapped specially to let them understand their own value and dignity in the eyes of God and help them find their own place in the society. Everyone deserve equal opportunities in terms of health, education and life and it is our goal to help the deprived get these opportunities especially when they are denied. It means also inside HSP a great respect towards each other and specially the women an the persons with handicap.
Reaching out to the poor:
“Serving the poor is serving God”
HSP is working for the poorest of the society. As father Laborde said, “we need to go to the poorest because they won’t come to us.” We need to make sure most of the staff goes to the ground to experience how poverty looks like. Every staff needs a contact with the grassroot level to be able to understand the mission and vision of HSP. We need to remember that serving the poor and the needy is serving God.

Availability to serve:
“we are only instruments of God”
In HSP family, what is important is not only what we do but how we do it. The most important in our work is the will to serve those in need, whether poor or handicapped. Anyone should be ready to switch to another position, to learn new methods, to receive training and to transmit this knowledge and experience to the others. Anyone should be ready to do beyond its job description, if necessary, simply because there is a task to complete.
Family spirit:
“we are a spiritual community”
Even if technically HSP is a society and an NGO, with requirements, following rules, from the very beginning, HSP has grown as a family with the incharges called didi and dada. Not only those working, but also our beneficiaries can benefit from the atmosphere and the spirit of living in one family. This includes also the well-wishers or partners because we need long-lasting relationship to build a better society that is more human. To build the community we need to celebrate together the joyful events, and we need also to be able to forgive each other.

Simplicity of means:
“trust in the loving Providence of God”
As a non-profit organisation, HSP depends solely on donations and therefore has restricted financial means. We need to be thankful to our donors for their support. We believe our work can be fulfilled only of we give the most of ourselves but also if we believe in the Providence of God, because more than
the means, it is the loving care and our confidence that we pursue a scope given by God.
